Todd Gaudreau
October 7, 1965 - December 6, 2018

Place of Birth : Williston, North Dakota
Residence : Williston, North Dakota
Age : 53

Todd Gaudreau, 53, passed away after a tough battle with cancer on Thursday morning, December 6, 2018. He died peacefully at Terry and Lindsay Gaudreau’s home surrounded by family.

Todd Arthur Gaudreau was born October 7, 1965 in Williston to Larry and Mary Ann (Arnson) Gaudreau. He was one of five Gaudreau children.

Todd attended Rickard Elementary School and went on to graduate from Williston High School, where he participated in cross country, wrestling, choir and band. After high school, Todd joined the National Guard, where he became a medic. After a short stint at Bismarck Junior College, he moved back home to attend UND Williston, where he completed his Associates degree. In 1991, he moved to Grand Forks and attended UND and later resided in Fort Collins, Colorado. In 2004, he moved back to Williston to be closer to family and started working in the oil field during the boom.

Todd first went to work for American Casing where he met Mick Kornkven. He later followed him to work at Dakota Pipe Inspection and then Elite Pipe Inspection, where he continued to work until he was diagnosed with cancer. The owners have been incredible friends and very supportive throughout Todd’s illness.

During his life, Todd never met a stranger. He loved meeting new people and usually walked away with a new friend after any conversation. His passion was “working out” and inspiring others to be their best. He discovered his passion for physical fitness while working at The Body Firm in 1984. He rarely, if ever, missed a day at the gym. He stayed very disciplined, but always saved a day each week as a “cheat day”, where he would enjoy his favorite meals and sweets. One of Todd’s prized accomplishments was capturing second place in the 1990 State Natural Bodybuilding contest in Dickinson.

He fought hard during his battle with cancer and never once complained or asked why me. He had an incredible faith in God and even during some of his darkest days, he remained an inspiration to countless people and shared his messages of light and love. He left this earth caring for others, showing compassion, lending a helping hand, making people laugh, seeing the best in everyone and always treating people with respect no matter what journey they were on.

Todd is survived by his mom, Mary Ann Gaudreau, and his four siblings; Tim Gaudreau and his wife, Stacey, Casper, WY, and their two children, Kirsten (her husband Nick) and Cullen; Terry Gaudreau and his wife, Lindsay of Williston and their sons Landon and Sawyer; Tammy Watterson and her husband, Kevin, Williston and their three daughters, Tara (her husband Gabe and children, Olivia, Hunter, Ellington and Blakely), Jaime (her husband Cade and daughter, Payton) and Morgan; and Tom Gaudreau and his wife, Renee, Nashville, TN, and their children, Rosemary, Amelia and Larry; and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Todd was preceded in death by his dad, Larry Gaudreau, along with numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.
