Darin Maltby, 55, of Williston, passed away on Saturday, June 16, 2018 in Williston.
Darin Michael Maltby was born in Aberdeen, South Dakota to Joe and Betty (Fugleberg) Maltby on February 8, 1963. He moved with this family to Williston in 1977 and graduated from Williston High School in 1981.
Darin worked in production in Williston’s oil patch for over twenty and as a service advisor in the auto industry for over fifteen years.
On December 11, 2011, Darin was united in marriage to Jennie Schreoder in Deadwood, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Williston.
As a boy, Darin was active in the Boy Scouts of America and played football and the trumpet at Williston High School. He also served as a volunteer firefighter in Spearfish, South Dakota for seven years.
Darin enjoyed camping and hiking with his friends and family, riding his motorcycle in the Black Hills, and working on vehicles and electronics. Darin also liked to read and listen to music.
Surviving Darin are his wife, Jennie of Williston; parents, Joe and Betty Maltby of Blackhawk, South Dakota; son, Devin Maltby of Williston; daughters, Adrian Miller of Jamestown, ND and Betty Maltby of Williston; step-children, Terry Falcon of Minot and Parker Haider of Williston; four grandchildren, Hope, Hattie, Evie and Seth; and one sister, Debbie Berg of Rapid City, SD.
