Our thoughts and prayers are with your entire family!!! As neighbors I remember walking by your parents house when our kids were small and your mom and dad always would come out to see the “little” ones!!! They were so fun to visit!!! We are out of town but will be thinking of all of you!!

Dearest David, Sally, Bette, John, Mary Beth & Families': One more bright life has gone to Heaven and although we have this wonderful hope of being together again someday, it still hurts when our parents are gone from us. Your Mom was a wonderful woman, and I will always remember her beautiful countenance and laughter. She was so gentle. As Mike said, I also cherish our family times together; and I too loved her "no bake" cookies! (always a favorite for us, and we called them "Eileen cookies"). We all were truly blessed with sweet and loving mothers.

I cannot express my sadness that your Mom has left this earthly world but oh the JOY of her being reunited with Arvid, her parents, her siblings and our Mom, Phyllis. We all grew up together with our parents being best friends, spending happy times at each other's homes having cookies, coffee and I'm sure driving our parents crazy with our childhood antics! I wish I would have stopped to visit Eileen more when I'd be in Williston. I'm thankful for a visit I had with both Arvid & Eileen many years ago when I was home for Christmas. Debbie, Mike, Teresa, Dad and myself kids have always felt a kinship with the Birkeland's. May you smile through your tears as you recall happy memories of your Mom. Love, Pam

So sorry to hear of Eileen's passing. We have good memories of Eileen and Arvid's years of raising their children. So much pride in their family. May the memories make this an easier time for you and the family.

David, Sally, Bette, John, Mary Beth & Families'.
I was so sad to hear of your Mothers passing. I have so many fond memories of our families being together as we were growing up either at your house or ours. I had to smile when I saw the picture of Eileen with her coffee cup. Pam & I were talking about our Mom's (and Dads) being together and the coffee pot was always on and they all had a cup in hand. Her "no bake cookies" were the best. I haven't seen any of you for a long time but often think of you all and Pam let's me know how you are doing. I'll ALWAYS have fond memories of growing up and knowing the Birkeland's. My condolences to all. Mike

My condolences to the entire family. May you be comforted to think about this positive thought, that Eileen is back with Arvid in the presence of Jesus.
